  I visited on a quiet Sunday afternoon. My sewing machine needed maintenance. Routine service is $89, which I feel is a little steep, but they agreed to let me know if there's anything wrong with it before I put money into it. Their batik fabric (what I'm most interested in)is limited in color and choice and is $12.99/yd. They have beginner sewing classes at a reasonable price, and the young woman who waited on me was helpful. Certainly there is much to be said for supporting local businesses, even if I have to pay a little more.
